Laura joined our team shortly after moving to Alabama in May of 2021. As the Director of Community Impact, she utilizes her experiences from both corporate and non-profit sectors to manage UWNWAL’s internal programs, allocations, and bookkeeping. With more than 10 years of experience working at United Ways, Laura is deeply committed to the impactful work created through partnerships with local agencies.
She is especially passionate about United Way’s focus areas of youth opportunity, financial security, and healthy communities, and values how each of these priorities is intertwined. Laura believes that strong futures are built when children have opportunities to learn and grow, families can achieve financial stability, and every individual has access to the resources needed for a healthy life.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys traveling, photography, being outdoors, quilting/stitching, and is an avid reader.
